Students can claim a €60 welcome bonus and a chance to double their stipend for a year.

Between the 24th September and the 9th October, Moneybase will be present at this year's Student Freshers' Week across the Higher Secondary School, Junior College, the University of Malta, MCAST Paola and MCAST Mosta, where students from different campuses can meet the team and discover the features of the Moneybase Student Account.

Students aged 16 and over can open a Moneybase account online in minutes, with no need of visiting any branches.  As a welcome bonus, all students opening an account with Moneybase will have their first stipend topped up with an extra €60, while three lucky students will win a double stipend for an entire year.

"For students, finance should be fast, secure, and innovative, so everyday tasks feel effortless. We are proud to be there from the start and to keep supporting them as their ambitions grow." says Alan Cuschieri, founder and CEO of Moneybase.

With a Moneybase Student Account, students can send and receive money instantly to family and friends, make free SEPA payments with incoming transfers arriving immediately, and send SWIFT payments to over 185 countries, with very competitive currency exchange rates on transfers and card payments.

Through the Moneybase app, students can order a physical or virtual Mastercard for free, which can be connected to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Xiaomi Pay and Garmin Pay for seamless contactless payments. Card security settings can be customised at any time through the app, with the option to freeze/unfree cards, view the card PIN, and enabling online transactions, among other options.

For students aged 18 and over, Moneybase provides direct access to over 20,000 global stocks, ETFs, bonds and funds, a free stock trade every month plus financial advisory services through Calamatta Cuschieri financial advisors.

"We remain committed to empowering young people to manage their money with confidence and to provide the tools and insights to grow their savings for the future on a simple, secure and rewarding platform," added Alan Cuschieri.

Besides opening their student account online, students are encouraged to visit the Moneybase stands during Freshers' Week to take part in interactive activities, enjoy ongoing giveaways and claim freebies. For further assistance, the Moneybase customer support team is available 7 days a week on +356 25 688 688 or through the in-app live chat. Students preferring in-person support can visit any Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase branch in Fgura, Sliema, Birkirkara or Mosta.
