CrediaBank which recently confirmed an agreement with HSBC regarding the potential majority acquisition in HSBC Malta inaugurated its first new experience flagship store in the centre of Athens, Greece. The flagship store introduces an innovative banking model that is embedded by inspiration, innovation and people-centricity.
This new store concept is a key element of CrediaBank's broader transformation, bringing its vision to life. It offers customers an upgraded experience that is accessible to all, prioritizing personalized interaction, a human-centric approach, and smart use of technology. The new model complements CrediaBank's existing people-first philosophy based on: open doors without appointments, teller services available all day, and immediate assistance whenever customers need it.

The design of the new branches promotes eye-level interaction between bank staff and customers, creating a welcoming environment of cooperation and empathy. A number of spaces and facilities are designed to address different needs-automated digital service points, private meeting rooms for personalized consultations, comfortable seating areas, short room dividers, and warm, vibrant colors to enhance the feeling of hospitality.
A key principle is accessibility for all. Using technology and special infrastructure and in collaboration with specialized consultants, the new concept branches include special facilities to accommodate the needs of individuals with vision, hearing, mobility challenges, as well as people who are on the autism spectrum.
According to CrediaBank's concept, technology supports, rather than replaces, the human experience-speeding up and simplifying transactions while ensuring that a bank representative is always available to assist. From the personalized welcome at the entrance to the self-service digital points, every interaction is designed to be seamless.
With a focus on sustainability, the new branches reflect CrediaBank's commitment to the environment and local communities. Hospitality extends beyond service infrastructure, with thoughtful touches such as complimentary refreshments and coffee, waiting areas for children and pets, designed for the comfort of every visitor.

To mark the opening of the first New Experience branch, CrediaBank CEO, Mrs Eleni Vrettou, stated: "CrediaBank is entering a new chapter. Every new beginning brings unique opportunities, and this one is a big milestone for us as we redefine the bank-customer relationship, returning to our core values: human connection, immediacy, and trust. We're proud to be the first in Greece to introduce this new store concept that places the customer at the center, prioritizing convenience and elevated service. This new branch reflects our philosophy of balancing digital solutions with face-to-face collaboration and support, always guided by the needs of our customers. For us, this new branch on Skoufa Street marks the beginning of our new story-where every customer is welcome, and every customer matters."
The inauguration ceremony of the first store, located on 3 Skoufa avenue in Kolonaki, Athens, was attended by notable Greek personalities of including Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidaki, Minister of National Economy & Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis, Minister of Development Takis Theodorikakos, Governor of the Bank of Greece Yannis Stournaras and others.
The Skoufa branch is the first New Experience Branch in Attica. Upcoming locations will include branches in Athens, Crete and Thessaloniki. The goal is for all CrediaBank branches to be fully renovated under this concept by the end of 2026.
These bank branches serve as flagship locations, embodying the Bank's commitment to a redefined customer experience, from the moment the customer enters to the point of teller service, showcasing flexibility, a customer focused approach, and a people-first philosophy at the heart of its operations.
