Before embarking on their UK tour under the direction of conductor Sergey Smbatyan, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will present this exceptional programme to local audiences at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on Thursday, 6 November.

The evening opens with Mozart's timeless overture to The Magic Flute, followed by The Prospects of the Future, a new work by Maltese composer Karl Fiorini. Renowned pianist Freddy Kempf will take the stage as soloist in Rachmaninoff's beloved Piano Concerto No. 2, seamlessly blending lyrical expression with dazzling virtuosity.

The concert culminates with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, a passionate exploration of fate, longing, and redemption, rich in orchestral colour and emotional depth.
