A woman was seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred at 1pm on Triq Sant'Andrija, Swieqi.
Police went on site and preliminary investigations found that a 70-year-old woman from Pembroke who was driving a Toyota Starlet crashed into a wall.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital, and was certified as having suffered serious injuries.
Magistrate Joe Mifsud launched an inquiry and police investigations are ongoing.
