Total inbound tourists for November 2025 were estimated at 304,620, an increase of 15.9 per cent when compared to the corresponding month in 2024, the NSO said Friday.

During the month under review, a total of 276,948 inbound tourists visited Malta for holiday purposes, and 17,380 tourists came for business purposes. The largest share of inbound tourists consisted of persons aged between 45 and 64 (37.6 per cent), followed by the 25-44 age bracket (36.8 per cent). British, Polish and Italian residents made up 45.3 per cent of total inbound tourists.

Total nights spent went up by 11.1 per cent when compared to November 2024, reaching 1.9 million nights. The largest share of guest nights (89.2 per cent) was spent in rented accommodation establishments. The average length of stay of total inbound tourists stood at 6.2 nights.

Total tourist expenditure stood at €273.7 million, an increase of 13.6 per cent over the corresponding month in 2024. The average expenditure per night was estimated at €144.2.

The number of tourists visiting Gozo and Comino, including both same-day and overnight visitors, totalled 151,799, or 49.8 per cent of total tourists.

January-November 2025

Inbound tourists for the first eleven months of 2025 amounted to 3,797,206, an increase of 12.6 per cent over the same period in 2024. Total nights spent by inbound tourists went up by 10.9 per cent, reaching 24.1 million nights.

Total tourist expenditure was estimated at €3,741.4 million, 18.7 per cent higher than that recorded for the same period in 2024. Total expenditure per capita increased to €985 from €935 in 2024.

The number of tourists visiting Gozo and Comino, including both same-day and overnight visitors, totalled 2,211,717, or 58.2 per cent of total tourists.
