Minister for Inclusion and Voluntary Sector Julia Farrugia announced Tuesday that she will be admitted to Mater Dei Hospital today to undergo a medical intervention on her hand, following advice from medical specialists.

In a post published on her official Facebook page, Farrugia said the procedure is intended to address a blockage that has developed over recent months, with doctors recommending early intervention to prevent possible complications in the future.

She explained that, if the operation proceeds as planned, she is expected to require approximately two weeks of recovery. However, the minister stressed that work within her Secretariat will continue uninterrupted during this period, supported by her team and aides.

Farrugia also noted that arrangements had been made ahead of the procedure to ensure continuity, with several pieces of work prepared in advance and set to be shared with the public in the coming days.

Concluding her message, the minister expressed gratitude for the ongoing support and affection she receives.
