A monument dedicated to businessman and philanthropist Vincenzo Bugeja has been damaged by strong winds, the Floriana council reported.
Deputy mayor James Aaron Ellul said on Facebook that the monument, at the Mall, was hit by a tree which collapsed in the storm.
He said that the authorities have been informed.
