A 16-year-old boy from Mosta was grievously injured after he lost control of the car he was driving and crashed into a wall.

The accident happened at around 10pm in Triq San Ġakbu, where police were informed that assistance was needed.

Preliminary investigations found that the teenager was driving an Isuzu when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a wall.

A medical team provided assistance at the scene before the boy was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

He was later certified as having suffered grievous injuries.
