Up to March 2022 general election the perception of the majority of voters on Joseph Muscat was neutral - " we shall see". This changed with the developments on the Vitals case since the 2022 election, namely the 2 court sentences- in February and October 2023 on the civil case raised by Adian Delia in 2018- whereby the courts decided there was fraud by collusion between top government officials including top civil servants, the then prime minister and the then ministers involved in the hospitals contract. Furthermore the conclusion of the Vitals-Steward Magisterial Inquiry G. Vella requested by NGO Republika was concluded in May 2024 and criminal charges have since been issued by the AG on those named in the Magisterial Inquiry including Joseph Muscat, Chris Fearne , Konrad Mizzi, Keith Schembri , Edward Scicluna and others.

My experience is that while some may not have the courage to openly dissent they still will back courageous dissenters and eventually generate reform and change . As communist dissenters have shown in other reddish countries their influence go well above their initially solitary dissent and certainly one is not a voice in the wilderness. The only people enjoying it are the hordes of quadbikes parking there and driving into Ta Cenc which is private and they have no permit to do so. In the meantime the residents cannot tolerate the noise pollution and procession anymore! This problem of the quadbikes is the same as that of the e-scooters. Something was done about that. The same attention should be given to the bikes passing through streets under people's balconies, like they own the place. Council is Labour. Do Something!

Concrete coast to coast is not far from fruition, as citizens it's not in our remit to be ungrateful for their horrendous activities, far from it we should be eternally grateful. Construction in Malta is all about washing vast sums of money of which there is plenty. Remember Italy a decade ago? rampant construction on many mickey mouse projects, sub standard housing, daily deaths from accidents that no one really cared about, WELL it's here right in your face and they WILL kill again to maintain the momentum. Protests are desperately required "french style" they need to be taken down and held accountable for the damage and misfortune they are causing to everyone who lives on this rock. But it's summer and too hot to do protests, maybe next month. Apathy the best word to describe just what is not going on.
