St Patrick’s was officially inaugurated on 16 May 1904 by His Excellency Charles Mansfield Clark, Governor of Malta.
The Miniature Sheet includes a 75c stamp which has as its main feature the founder, St John Bosco, and his personal signature. The other three figures on the Miniature Sheet show Blessed Michael Rua, Don Bosco’s successor, under whom St Patrick’s school was opened, is-Sur Fons Maria Galea who was a benefactor of St Patrick’s and who made the coming of the Salesians possible, and Fr Patrick O’Grady, the Irish Salesian who became the first Rector and from whom St Patrick’s got its name.
