Sixteen schools, representing a total of 1,400 students, have participated in the programme since November 2003.

By the end of the 2003/2004 academic year, a total of 25 secondary schools in Malta and Gozo will have participated in this educational programme, which is run by the MTA’s Human Resource and Support Services Directorate.

Throughout the programme, the students are given an overview of various sectors within the tourism industry as well as the opportunity to meet a number of professionals.

Students participating in the programme visit hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and other establishments which support the MTA in the delivery of the programme.

Towards the end of the programme, students are also given the opportunity of presenting tourism-related projects, the best of which are awarded prizes by an adjudicating panel.
