These funds will be on offer until 19 June, but may close earlier if oversubscribed.

The Capital Protected Eurostoxx 50 Bonus Fund No. 1 offers an income payment of 2.5 per cent on the initial capital investment after the first year, together with the opportunity to profit from index participation of 30 per cent in any growth of the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50.

The Capital Protected Eurostoxx 50 Growth Fund No. 1, on the other hand, offers an index participation of 45 per cent in any growth of the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50 Index. Both these funds offer full capital protection of the original sum invested if the investments are held for the full term.

For those looking for a higher growth potential, the Eurostoxx 50 Maxi Growth Fund No. 1 offers an index participation of 70 per cent in any growth of the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50 Index, with 95 per cent capital protection of the initial investment if this is held for the full investment term.

“HSBC’s new investment funds offer investors an ideal opportunity to exploit the growth potential of some of the major companies in Europe. Depending on their attitude to risk and reward, investors can choose between funds offering 100 per cent capital protection or 95 per cent capital protection with a much higher participation in any growth in the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50 Index,” said Joseph Camilleri, managing director at HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Limited.

All those who invest in these new HSBC funds up to 15 May, will take part in a lottery to win one of 10 prizes (DPL 25/04).
