Long-term lease agreements were signed over the past days with ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil, two leading oil companies based in Houston, Texas.

“We are very pleased to have concluded these lease agreements with ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil. Both companies are major players in the oil industry and we wish them every success in their business in Libya,” a spokesman for Corinthia said.

The Corinthia Commercial Centre consists of a state-of-the-art office block, located right next to the 300-room deluxe Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel in central Tripoli, Libya.

The signing of these lease agreements with US Oil firms adds another 700m2 of occupied premises in the commercial centre, with over 85 per cent of the space available now under lease to major companies, including Wintershall AG, the German oil company subsidiary of BASF, and Woodside Petroleum of Australia.

Negotiations with other high-profile tenants are in hand for the remaining space.
