In line with its expanding facilities in the Food and Beverages Operation and Banqueting Section, The Victoria Hotel felt the need to create a new post of Food and Beverage Service Coordinator in its Business Development Department – a post that has been capably filled by Daniel Vella.

Twenty-four-year-old Daniel successfully completed the Hospitality Studies Course at the Institute of Tourism Studies. He followed this with a Diploma in Hotel Operations and Management at Cambridge International College, which he passed with distinction, and later followed a Leonardo Da Vinci training programme in Umbria, Italy.

Daniel Vella was assigned his Student Work Placement at the prestigious Sloane Club in London and he also carried out research in time-share management in Malaga, Spain. Daniel also had the opportunity of training in some of the finest four and five star hotels on the island.

The post of Food and Beverage Service Coordinator involves assisting the Events Coordinator in the promotion of the services offered by the Banqueting Section, which also includes conference hosting, convention organising and other functions.

This new post also includes the coordination of the Food and Beverage Service Operations as well as the training and induction of Food and Beverage Service employees in the promotion of the services offered by their department.
