Middlesea Group Continues to support the Eden Foundation

During a lunch for intermediaries and business partners hosted recently by the Middlesea Group, Middlesea group chairman Mario C. Grech presented a cheque for Lm1,500 to Josie Muscat of the Eden Foundation.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Mr Grech said, “We believe it is our corporate social responsibility to support the Eden Foundation in its efforts to improve the lives of persons with special needs through their various educational programmes”.

The Middlesea Group also organised a Christmas party for the adolescents following a programme at the Eden Foundation who are also provided with a work environment at Middlesea. Middlesea Group gives a group of adolescents work experience on a regular basis and also the possibility to obtain full-time employment.

During the party Dr Muscat, president of the board of trustees of the Eden Foundation, thanked the Middlesea Group for its continuous support. He augured that more companies would follow Middlesea’s example and offer work-related experiences to members of the Eden Foundation.

The Eden Foundation is a non-profit organisation which was established in 1992. It works in partnership with people having developmental disabilities to help them achieve full inclusion to the best of their abilities by gaining access to mainstream education, employment and leisure activities, leading to an independent life.
