Malta Independent Wednesday, 26 January 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Valletta’s injured midfielder, Jaroslav Marx, from the Czech Republic, will soon be returning home for more treatment as it has been established that his injury will take longer to heal

Valletta have reached agreement with the player over the termination of his present contract, but have retained an option on the player with regards to next season.

In fact, the citizens have high hopes that Marx will be fully fit to resume his footballing activities in the pre-season next summer.

If everything goes well, Marx will again be one of the clubs’ foreign players in next season’s squad.

Meanwhile, Valletta will not be bringing over a foreigner to replace Marx. As is well known, they are close to concluding an agreement with Pieta for Under 21 striker Anatole Debono.

The latter was expected to start training with the citizens as from yesterday. He hopes to be eligible for Sunday’s top clash against Birkirkara
