Meeting In Malta

Malta Independent Friday, 28 January 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

The National Commission for the Promotion of Equality (NCPE) has been approached by the European Network Against Racism (ENAR), which represents about 600 NGOs active in the fields of anti-racism, xenophobia and anti-discrimination in the EU.

Over the last year, ENAR has opened its membership to new EU member states’ NGOs. ENAR will be holding an introductory meeting in Malta in the next few months, with those NGOs who are interested in learning more about its activities.

The purpose of this meeting will be to present the ENAR’s work, to share views and experiences regarding racism and discrimination and to discuss a possible cooperation/membership with Maltese NGOs.

Those NGOs/individuals who wish to receive more details are kindly requested to send their details to NCPE at 2 Cavalier Street, Valletta, CMR02, telephone 25903850, or email: [email protected], by 30 January 2005.
