In his Friday Wisdom (TMID, 28 January), Alfred Mifsud has once again taken the government to task over “leaving the public sector so much excessively staffed” and for government permitting good pay packages to public sector workers.

What us readers would like to know is what to do with “excess workers” and “good pay packages” so that the cure will come about. Please tell us Mr Mifsud.

Mr Mifsud also said that the redemption costs of our country must rest solely on the working class because, being the largest component of our society, they have elected our government. No, Mr Mifsud, everyone must shoulder his responsibility, otherwise we fail as in post-1979.

Prescribe the cure otherwise stop lamenting.
