HSBC’s Mosta area has sponsored a short course swimming meeting which took place at the Ta’ Qali swimming pool on 26 February. The meeting was open to swimmers of all ages. Races covered distances from 25 metres to 100 metres in all strokes. There were also 200-metre individual medleys and relays.

HSBC’s Mosta area manager, Richard Mercieca, who presented the sponsorship to the Ta’ Qali pool manager, Alfred Cachia, said: “This initiative by the Ta’ Qali pool to encourage swimmers in the surrounding areas to remain active during the winter months is an excellent one. HSBC is always looking to encourage activities in which the community can participate and this swimming meeting provided a fun activity for all the family.”
