Good woman, Daphne, you really tell it like it is (TMID, 10 March).

In my humble opinion these blessed wardens (or their employers) are just cashing in on the huge traffic problem in our country. Parking space is almost non-existent so that is just what they pounce on, sometimes even waiting at obscure corners dying to catch someone red-handed.

My friend’s mother once had the fright of her life when she found such a warden crouching just inside her gate. Her son gave him a right old bollocking and good for him.

We cannot just leave the fighting to Daphne. We need to start to stand up for ourselves. If all unwarranted traffic ticket cheques are accompanied by complaints or letters to the press, someone, somewhere might even get the message sometime.
