I must express my disappointment that you deemed fit to publish Ken Grima’s comments in connection with Chiara’s video which originally appeared on the website. His comments were insensitive at best, offensive at worst.

Equating what Mr Grima perceives as ugly people in the video with social cases on the dole or other disadvantaged people is objectionable to anyone having basic respect

for others. Mr Grima’s comments clearly demonstrate ignorance about people experiencing social problems are and how they feel.

If Mr Grima wanted to be funny, he should do it at his expense and not at the expense of others. People in

need command respect and dignity and should not be ridiculed.

On a lighter note, I liked Chiara’s video and song. Irrespective of the placing at the festival, Chiara is already the people’s number one.
