From Dr J. Zammit Tabona

While thanking the authorities for taking remedial measures to stop parking abuses in this area of Sliema, I write to express regret on behalf of many in the locality that the extreme measure recently taken has caused unnecessary hardship, one never really expected even by the complainants themselves.

Painting yellow lines everywhere has gone to the other extreme, causing an immediate loss of 12 parking spaces in the pjazza itself, and the repercussionshave been felt everywhere in the area.

This is an inconvenience deeply felt and once the original complaint of the residents is addressed, the status quo is now requested and urgently awaited.

Equity and common sense in the residential scenario should not be made to suffer on grounds of anti-social laws, and the minister is urgently requested to remedy this inconvenience now brought to an extreme beyond need.

J. Zammit Tabona
