The technical operations team is the present holder of the maltaNET Quality and Innovation award. This is an award presented to a team or individual at maltaNET who have made the latest valid contribution towards fostering quality and innovation. The award moves from one winner to the next, depending on the latest developments, and was introduced last year.

The award, which was previously won by the editorial team, has now moved to the technical operations team who have come up with a new solution for tackling email spam. maltaNET is the internet arm of the Maltacom group.
