As usual, Dr Alfred Sant – by his choice of words – literally “flogged them to death” during his participation on Xarabank on Friday, 5 May.

With his cool attitude you could hear the tintinnabulation of bells, even though the questions fired at him would have thwarted even the meekest of man.

What irritated me was something that was obviously premeditated.

Judging by the clapping, there was an astounding number of MLP supporters but the people who were allowed to ask questions (excuse me, they were actually on the spot to “fire” their machine guns at him) were diehard Nationalists – with a Nationalist MP at that.
