Malta’s Michael Mifsud was again in the news on Sunday evening as he scored a last-gasp winner for Lillestrom against Valerenga of Oslo.

Lillestrom beat the second-placed club 2-1 thanks to Mifsud’s 90th minute winner. In midweek, Mifsud had scored two goals for his side in a Cup match.

In Sunday’s match, Lillestrom had taken the lead through Sungot on 28 minutes, but Valerenga equalised before the interval through Iversen.

After eight matches, Lillestrom are occupying joint fourth place together with SK Brann Bergen and Viking Stavenger on 13 points, six behind leaders IK Start and three behind Valerenga.
