This season Loyola Basketball School will add another three trophies to their collection with the U-15 championship top award going to the Loyola Vileda U-15 cadets (boys). In the girls section, both Loyola Vileda U-15 cadettes and Loyola Vileda U-17 juniors (women) continued their positive run of the past years by reaching second place in both categories. This was the best performance of the school with all these wins.

The U-15 boys team is full of talent and one cannot single out players as all the team worked hard throughout the season to reach their glory.

They managed to win all their 12 games with fantastic results giving them 760 basket points in favour against 315, leaving the second placed team trailing with 405 basket points against 351.

Most of the team members will be attending an intensive seven-day basketball camp in Rome. This is organised by Loyola Basketball School in collaboration with the Dif&Dif School in Italy, which is run by national Coach Paolo Di Fonzo.

Apart from all the teams’ effort to reach their goals and achieve all these positive results, there is a group of dedicated and hard working coaches, among them Paul Sultana and Paul Pereira for supporting the U-15 and U-17 boys and Alex Galea for his efforts with the U-19 boys, John Doughty and Alex Farrugia for their time with the U-15, U-17 and U-19 girls.

Loyola basketball school have a group of 35 players in the U-9, U-11 and U-13 category who, this year, played several games and gave the school lots of positive results mainly thanks to the work of coaches Paul Pereira and John Doughty.
