My father recently had to be hospitalised at St Luke’s Hospital in order to undergo major surgery. Through your newspaper, I would like to publicly express my sincere thanks for a highly professional and caring service given at Orthopaedic Ward 3.

My foremost thanks go to Ivan Esposito, for his diligence and humane way of dealing with his patients. Thank you also to his entire team.

Thanks are also due to Ms Vassallo, Senior Nursing Officer, for her excellent management and general upkeep of the ward, the entire nursing and auxiliary staff, those responsible for the lab and food services as well as the cleaning staff.

Visiting my father at different times of the day, I could witness at first hand the keen dedication demonstrated by the members of the staff towards their patients. Truly, when a service is perceived to be a mission, then undoubtedly the patients’ stay in hospital becomes more bearable.
