A tennis marathon for charity organised by tennis coach Gillian Galea was recently held at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort. This marathon, which lasted 27 hours, was organised in aid of the Daniel Delicata Memorial Association, with the main sponsors being the SAS Radisson Bay Point Resort and Danone. Spread over two courts, some 200 people participated, with the majority being youngsters.

Over Lm3,000 was collected over the weekend marathon and the organisers will be using the funds to purchase a TV satellite system for the children at the Fairyland Ward in St Luke’s hospital. In addition to this system, the funds will also be used to purchase ten PlayStations which the kids within the Fairland Ward will be able to enjoy while they are being cured.
