Newly promoted Hamrun Spartans will be making a strong bid to get back to their fold three of their former favourites.

These are midfielders Roderick Bajada, David Camilleri and Rupert Mangion.

But they may face some strong competition from Birkirkara who are also reported to have an interest in Camilleri.

The Spartans have also announced that three foreign players are expected to join the club for a trial before the start of the new season.
