For the third consecutive year, the Council of Tennis Club Kordin is organising the Simpatia Crai team tournament between 19 July and 16 October. This tournament is being sponsored by “Pearl Self Service” of Mimosa Street, Guardamangia.

Between 19 July and 29 September matches will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays and between 1 and 16 October on Saturdays and Sundays afternoons. Those players who are unable to play on these days/dates are asked not to apply for participation in this tournament.

This event will be played over two rounds on a Round Robin basis. Each match will consist of two sets and one point will be given for every set won. The first four teams with the highest number of points will pass on to the semi-finals. The first placed team will play against the team in the fourth place and the second placed team plays against the third team in the table.

Juniors under the age of 15 years will be placed in a separate category but will be part of the team. These youngsters cannot be promoted to play in the senior category.

Members are hereby informed that applications for participation in the tournament are to be made “ON LINE” through the club’s Web Site ‘www.tennisclubkordin.com’ by not later than 26 June.

Presentation of trophies will be held during a social evening to be organised for the occasion by the organising committee. The date of this activity will be announced later.
