We refer to the report (TMID 12 July) in connection with the renovation of St George’s Bay. In this report, your newspaper refers to this beach as being “managed by the Intercontinental Hotel Malta”.

This is incorrect. The beach in question will be managed to international standards by the Malta Tourism Authority, utilising funds derived from the payments made by the Intercontinental Hotel for the concession to operate a lido on part of the said beach.
