Msida St Joseph vice-president Antoine Portelli has handed in his resignation to the committee of the club.
This came only one day after the club’s defeat against Mosta on the opening day of the Bank of Valletta Premier League.
However, Portelli made it clear that the result of the match had nothing to do with his resignation and went on to wish the best of luck to the team this season. He also said his decision had been taken after a lot of thought and consideration.
The resignation follows that of president Dott. Roberto Goveani who left the post in June.
