‘Suncrest Goes Bananas’

The summer season at the Suncrest Hotel will draw to an end with a week of boisterous activities at the Sun & Surf Lido with the theme, “Suncrest goes Bananas”

This will be launched on Monday 12 and will reach its climax on Saturday 17 September. It will feature a number of fun activities, games and prizes open to all guests and patrons of the Suncrest Hotel. Guests will be offered banana cocktail drinks throughout the week while the animation team will be organising fun-filled activities on a daily basis for kids and grown-ups alike.There will be Kids’ Banana Hunts and Kids Banana races as well as contests full of fun and laughter for the adults, such as swimming, banana-eating, team ring races, tug of war, dancing and much more.

Thursday will also feature races for members of staff of the different departments to which families and friends are invited for support. Friday sees the team races for guests according to nationality, while Saturday will include races by the destination management consultants and the media team. All the fun and games are being hosted by a well-known DJ who will be assisted by the hotel’s animation team.

The ‘Suncrest Goes Bananas’ activity will come to an end on Saturday with a Grand Dance Finale and Banana Buffet. Mementoes will be presented to the participants and prizes will be given to the finalists during the buffet dinner. Entertainment evening will be provided by Bayzo’s Klikka’s Band accompanied by Joe Cutajar as lead singer. The evening’s entertainment will also include a fun cabaret presented by Louie’ Noir and his dancers.

George Schembri, chief executive officer of the Suncrest Hotel said that this idea of a week long activity was conceived to give hotel guests and local patrons days of fun and games before the onset of autumn. “This seemed to be a pleasant manner to bring our successful season to a close while at the same time recognising our guests’ steadfast patronage.”
