William Chetcuti Wins Double Trap International Tournament

Maltese shooter William Chetcuti won the International Tournament held at Bidnija yetserday in the Double Trap event.

William Chetcuti managed to hit all 50 clays in the first and third rounds and in between hit another 48 clays in the second round for a total of 148 clays out of a possible 150.

In the final barage, Chetcuti hit 43 out of 50 clays for a total of 191 clays.

Hakan Dahlby of Sweden was runner-up with a total of 188 clays while third place went to Miko Makitalo of Finland with 181 clays.

Three other Maltese shooters placed fourth to sixth. Rodney Micallef, who hit 178 clays was fourth, followed by Philip Busuttil (144) and Joe Mifsud (126).

Chetcuti, Dahlby and Makitalo will be joining nine other of the best world shooters in the forthcoming World Cup finals in Dubai next month.
