The Malta Billiards and Snooker Association has announced that the Premier Division is to start on 28 November, together with the first division and the boys (under 18) leagues.

The first tournament in the second division will be held between 4 and 13 January. The first Open ranking tournament is to be held between 5 and 16 December while the teams championships will start in February of next year.

On the international scene, Malta is taking part in the 2006 European Teams Championships in Carlow, Ireland, between 13 and 18 March.

The MBSA is also sending a representative for the Under 19 European Championship which, this season, is being held in Bucharest, Romania, in April next year. Malta is also taking part in the 2006 European Snooker Championships in Zofingen, Switzerland, between 30 May and 10 June.
