Hamrun Spartans hitman, Gaetan Spiteri, named BOV Player of the Month for October 2005, was presented with the BOV Trophy by Rosanne Petrocochino, Manager of BOV’s Hamrun Branch.

The presentation of the BOV Player of the Month Trophy was held at St. Joseph’s Home in St Venera. This institution was chosen by Gaetan Spiteri as the beneficiary of the monthly donation that is being made available by Bank of Valletta to the Player of the Month for presentation to a local charity.

During this event, the Hamrun player presented the cash donation to Fr. Silvio Bezzina, Director of the St Joseph’s Home.

Also present was John Farrugia, Vice-President of the Malta Football Association, and Antoine Attard, Treasurer of the Hamrun Spartans Football Club.

Asked to comment Mr Attard said that Gaetan Spiteri is a remarkable player gifted with speed and versatility and during these few months has proven to be a central figure to his team.
