The very popular table tennis Grand Prix tournament was held last Monday.

It was played at the University Gym Msida. The Grand Prix tournament is where the top 24 players in Malta battle it out over four events throughout the season.

The first event this season saw top juniors Matthew Micallef, Stefan Grech, Matthew Grech and Thomas Vella taking part for the first time. Last year's defending champion, Edward Baldacchino won an exciting final against Alex Soler, 11-6, 11-8, 8-11, 11-6.
