Table-Tennis: Banks In another easy win as they move closer to title

Malta Independent Thursday, 16 February 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

There was another fine eight sets to one win by Banks ROL in division 1 in week 11.

The title is looking more and more likely to go to the reigning champions again this year.

Division 2 leaders Leisure Clothing beat close rivals Fleur De Lys by 6 sets to 3 and they seem favourites at this stage to win the division 2 title and therefore automatic promotion to division 1.

The runners-up place in division 2 is still “up for grabs” though with Ping Pongers and Fleur De Lys neck and neck, with HSBC and Maltacom close behind.

Division 3 looks likely to be won by the Table tennis Academy ‘A’ team.

It is between Danone and Aloysians ‘B’ as to who will win the Division 4 title.
