After a balanced first period Siggiewi enjoyed the lion’s share of exchanges after resumption.

A flagkick by Gordon Agius created havoc in Zurrieq's area but somehow the ball was cleared.

Zurrieq keeper Anthony Farrugia saved on Manfred Simiana after a Matthew Ciantar cross and also saved on Cari Mizzi after a Justin Buhagiar through pass.

Peter Barbara then pounced on a faulty clearance, advanced but shot weakly in Siggiewi’s keeper waiting hands.

After being two opponents, a shot by Jurgen Debono was cleared to a corner by a Zurrieq defender and a freekick shot by Damian Borg missed Zurrieq’s bar by inches and the final action came also form Siggiewi when a Damian Borg shot missed the upright after a back-heel pass by Simiana.
