Facelift For Pizza Hut St Julian's outlet

Malta Independent Wednesday, 31 May 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Pizza Hut’s flagship restaurant in St Julian’s has re-opened its doors with a fresh new look. Significant investment has transformed the restaurant from a franchise restaurant into a more casual-dining atmosphere, with a focus on the ambience and clean, modern décor.

The restaurant in St Julian’s was the first in Malta to be opened under the Pizza Hut franchise, operated by Food Chain (Holdings) Ltd. It was an instant hit with the locals and remains a very popular brand for its innovation and great food offers.

The restaurant operation has all been moved upstairs onto one floor and includes a beautiful terrace with a stunning view of Spinola Bay.

The total area can accommodate more than 150 diners.

The décor has been designed to combine modern with the already existing old architectural features of the building.

Commenting on the transformation, Food Chain (Holdings) Ltd general manager Stefania Conte said: “Furnished with a completely new décor, giving the restaurant a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, Pizza Hut is the family pizza place at an affordable price.”

This is the second new-look Pizza Hut restaurant, and follows on from the opening of the new outlet in Bay Square, Bugibba. Other restaurants featuring the new, fresh décor are to follow.

Ms Conte complimented the refurbishment project team, led by Food Chain Restaurants operations manager Alex Mifsud, for managing the project within the stipulated timeframe and up to Pizza Hut franchise standards.

There are currently five Pizza Hut restaurants in Malta, located in Sliema, St Julian’s, Valletta, Bugibba and Fgura, that are operated by Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, through its subsidiary Food Chain (Holdings) Ltd. www.pizzahutmalta.com.
