Two men were yesterday charged with seriously injuring a man and damaging his car during an incident that took place in Safi on Saturday morning.

Roderick Debono, 26, and Justin Polidano, 21, both from Kirkop, were charged with seriously injuring Brian Farrugia and slightly injuring Sylvester Farrugia and Redent Micallef. The two men were also charged with damaging Brian Farrugia’s Ford Escort.

Before Magistrate Anthony Vella, the two men pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them and were placed on probation for a period of two years.

Police inspector Walter Spiteri prosecuted while Dr Franco Debono appeared for the accused.
