Vodafone Malta customers have the opportunity to use the call back service whenever they find someone’s Vodafone line busy. Through this free service, Vodafone monitors the status of both lines and a call between the two parties is established the moment they both become free.
“As mobile phones are being used more frequently than ever it is inevitable that sometimes lines are busy. With Vodafone’s free call back service customers do not have to constantly redial a busy number, as Vodafone will make sure that the call goes through when both lines are available,” said Alison Bezzina, brand manager at Vodafone Malta. “We are pleased to be the only local network to offer such a convenient service absolutely free. This is only possible by making use of the latest advancements in mobile technology.”
When Vodafone customers are subscribed to the call back service, every time they find another Vodafone line busy they will hear a message instructing them to activate the call back by pressing *110#, and the “send” button. A message saying that the service is activated will be displayed on their screen and once they hang up, the system will try to establish a call between the two parties. This facility is free of charge.
Once the connection is made between the two lines and the receiver accepts the call, the person who originally tried to make the call will start being charged for that call at normal applicable mobile rates. This depends on that customer’s particular price plan.
The service is only available to Vodafone customers.
