Malta Independent Thursday, 8 June 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

The Maltese Ecclesiastical Tribunal is going to hold another course of studies, addressed primarily to lawyers, about Canonical Marriage Cases, Jurisprudence and Procedure.

The aim of this course, which was set up in 1993 by the Maltese Episcopal Conference is to provide the formation for the performance of the various functions in the Ecclesiastical Tribunals, which cater for the help, representation, legal defence and hearing of the parties and witnesses in marriage nullity cases.

The duration of the course is two years, and it consists of 112 lectures. A diploma will be presented to those who successfully follow the course. It is the intention of the Episcopal Conference that all persons helping in marriage nullity cases be selected from those who frequent at least such a course of formation.

Further information about the next course due to start in October this year, as well as application forms, are available from: The Secretary, Metropolitan Tribunal, Archbishop’s Street, Valletta, Tel. 21245942/3.

The closing date for applications is 2 September.
