Danica Muscat, aged 11 and Brooke Borg, aged 13 were recently very successful when they took part in the Ti Amo Festival in Onesti, Romania.

Danica placed first in her category with the song Voglio Volare (Joe Julian Farrugia/Sammy Galea).

Brooke Borg placed second in the older category with Primavera D’Amor which also won a prize for its authors Sammy Galea and Joe Julian Farrugia.

Malta was competing against such countries as Spain, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Maldova, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Taiwan and Ukraine.

Sammy Galea, who is a popular figure in Romania because of his music, accompanied these two young girls. Danica and Brooke were also guests of the mayor who was full of praise for their talent.

The Romanian media gave this festival a lot of importance and in fact, it was transmitted live on TVR.
