Julie Apap, ceramist and teacher, has started a website to give a voice to the potters and ceramists of this Island – www.clayartmalta.com

At the moment, the site has eight artists, who tell you a little about themselves and feature six pieces of their work. Some have been working with clay for many years, others for not so long and still having lessons. They are Rosella Schembri, Talia Maggi, Julie Apap, Barbara Attard Pettett, Zell Osborne, Lynn Simpson, Deborah Marmara’ and Sue Mifsud. All contributors to the website either work in Malta or are Maltese.

There is information about ceramic exhibitions and events, and in the near future there will be articles by contributors to the site on other aspects of ceramics and online exhibitions.

Clayartmalta will also be linked to main search engines and other pottery pages. There is no point to a website if no one knows about it!

This is an affordable opportunity for ceramists to show their work to Malta and the world.
