VacancyCentre.com, operated by CSB, has been re-launched following an extensive re-design and upgrade. The new website was designed with both the job seeker and the employer in mind. It is more user-friendly, more interactive and providing a straightforward and efficient service to the visitor.

The new web site allows users to open an account with VacancyCentre.com, which enables candidates to submit, view and edit all their CV details (including qualifications and employment history) online and in real-time! Using a unique username and secure password, job seekers are then able to apply for jobs and access their account regularly in their own time, leisure and comfort! This way job seekers need not re-apply or submit their details each time they are interested in a particular vacancy featured on the website. Furthermore, all data sent and received via the site is encrypted since the website uses a security protocol.

The website also features the company’s widely used Job Bank, and all the information about jobs and career opportunities available, together with the latest news and recruitment tips, career advice, articles, a list of training providers and other services such as Jobm@il, SMS Jobs and the VacancyCentre.com e-newsletter. Furthermore, employers can also submit their vacancies online. Recruitment news and events, the Weekly Hot Job and also featured articles are also accessible via the front page.

“VacancyCentre.com attracts thousands of unique visitors, and we are very proud of this achievement,” said Jonathan M. Dalli, Business Development Executive at CSB. “We are confident that the new website, which is the fourth version of VacancyCentre.com, will prove to be even more popular as besides including useful information that is kept updated on a daily basis, it is designed in a way that is easier to navigate. Furthermore, the new features thanks to the latest technology we are using give us more time to spend on the actual recruitment services, i.e. the search and selection process on behalf of our clients” Mr. Dalli continued.

Kenneth Bone, Managing Director of Seasus New Media, web developers of VacancyCentre.com, highlighted; “Our main focus was to simplify and speed up the matching process between job seekers and employers. The new online tools for job seekers provide an easy way of keeping the latter informed about the opportunities available, posting an interest in a position and keeping track of the various account activities. We have also given particular attention to data privacy and security, ensuring that job seeker information well protected from unauthorised access. The web site is also backed by a custom-built Integrated Business Management System which has automated many areas of the job placement process and reduced the turn-around time from the publishing of a vacancy to an actual job placement.” Regarding the usage of the web site, he added; “We have seen a constant increase in the number of visitors to Vacancycentre.com since the launch of the first version in 1999, and the response to the new web site was beyond expectations, with thousands of newly registered job seekers in the first few weeks.”
