Go mobile’s Ready To Go Text tariff plan offers the real one cent per SMS rate, Director for go mobile operations Mr Peter Gauci announced today. Go mobile has been offering the lowest SMS rates since December 2004.

All go mobile subscribers can register for the Ready To Go Text tariff plan by sending an SMS containing “T” to 4400. This is not a temporary offer but an on-going tariff that provides unlimited local text messages at one cent to everyone.

“This one cent per SMS tariff has always been available to all our pre-paid customers. It is the perfect choice for those subscribers who send a lot of text messages and customers are not charged extra for taking advantage of this package,” said Mr Gauci.

Customers can purchase unlimited bundles of 300 SMS for Lm3 and 500 SMS for Lm5.

To purchase a 300 SMS bundle for Lm3, customers need only send an SMS containing “300” to 4433. Those who prefer the 500 SMS bundle at Lm5 can send an SMS containing “500” to the same number. Both bundles have a 30-day time window.

“Clearly, no other mobile service provider in Malta offers such low SMS rates,” Mr Gauci continued.

With both the Lm3 and the Lm5 bundle, the end cost is the same: one cent per each SMS sent. Only the cost of the bundle itself is deducted from the subscribers’ credit. All local calls on this tariff cost 7c for every 30 seconds.
