Dubai-based Emirates is poised to take centre-stage at this year’s World Travel Market with an outstanding double-decker stand specially designed to showcase the airline and travel company’s products, while providing a conducive setting for trade meetings.

The World Travel Market exhibition, a key event in the international travel trade calendar, is being held at London’s Excel exhibition centre until today. In 2005, over 48,000 travel industry professionals from 202 countries and regions participated in the show.

Emirates has been an exhibitor at World Travel Market for more than 15 years. This year, its visibility will be boosted with its new 123 square-metre stand which will showcase different elements of the Emirates Group, including the distinctive and luxurious suite available in First Class on the airline’s Airbus A340-500 aircraft, and the new lie-flat seat being installed in Business Class on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Emirates Hotels & Resorts, the premium hospitality division of the Emirates Group, will also display plans and models of its new properties currently under construction. These include the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa in Australia’s Blue Mountains; and the Emirates Marina Hotel & Spa in Dubai.

Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, will also be a keynote speaker at this year’s event, while other senior executives from Emirates will be present for meetings with travel trade professionals from the UK and other key international markets.

The UK is one of Emirates’ largest destinations, which the airline serves with 91 non-stop flights each week from Dubai to a choice of five airports – London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.

Emirates flies to over 80 destinations in more than 55 countries. The airline operates five flights weekly from Malta to Dubai via Larnaca, Cyprus, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday on A330-200.
