Stuck for a decent place to have a drink before going out or after dinner? Look no further than the Ku de Ta Bar and Lounge at Le Méridien St Julian’s. Recently there was the successful launch of Gold Fridays, where 300 guests enjoyed music by resident DJ Owen Jay and an array of enticing and unusual cocktails. Promoted by Privé and Icon, Gold Fridays provide an alternative to Paceville.

The huge success of the launch party is testament to the fact that people have been looking for a more chic venue to meet up with friends after dinner or before moving on to a club without having to struggle for space at the bar and shout over the music.

The smoking lounge, and the terraces with stunning views are an added bonus.

The Ku de Ta offers a cutting edge atmosphere, being fun without being intense. The hip status is suggested by the mushroom, blonde and burgundy-red suede seating with cut-away backs, leaning towards the warmer side of minimalism. Walls are washed with dimmable lighting with a changing color palette of balmy blues, greens, reds, magentas and yellows, hidden behind white sheers. The place is sprinkled with contemporary art and the bar portrays an interesting use of coloured local glass.

Gold Nights is happening every Friday from 10pm at Le Méridien St Julian’s. Parking is free of charge.
