Mira Motor Sales Ltd, the Maltese distributor for Isuzu has recently held a training programme for its Servicing Department. This specialised aftersales training programme is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to ensure the best aftersales service possible and also in preparation for the arrival of the new Isuzu TF190 to Malta. Training was held over one week at the Mira Motor Sales premises in Mriehel. The programme was custom-designed for a group of four local Isuzu technicians; Joe Sultana, Joe Azzopardi, Charles Spiteri, and George Attard. Organised by Brian Attard and Joe Zammit – the Isuzu Brand Manager and Service Manager at Mira Motors respectively, the course was developed and conducted by Harrie van der Schoot; an aftersales expert from the Teamleader Training Development.
The course covered all the material from the existing courseware on the TF190. This included in-depth analysis of the Isuzu 4J engines, transfercase, and the 2WD-4WD system, as well as the numerous Isuzu TF190 comfort structures and their state-of-the-art air conditioning system. The participants were also updated on the steering, suspension, braking, fuel, intake, and exhaust systems, and partook in all the other training that will ensure that they will be able to provide future TF190 owners with an exceptional aftersales service.
The Isuzu TF190 is an improved version of the existing Isuzu TF140 and is just one of several new Isuzu models that are set to be introduced in Malta over the upcoming months.
